A sideboard inspired by the refined structure and quiet tension found in traditional Japanese hakama. Its aesthetic is reinterpreted into a form suited for contemporary interiors.
The vertical rhythm of the lower section recalls the pleats of a hakama, while the upper volume, defined by smooth and restrained surfaces, brings a sense of lightness and calm. Slender vertical lines introduce a subtle tension, enhancing the contrast with the softer surfaces.
Lines and planes, lightness and mass, calmness and tension.
Through the balance of these elements, the design embodies a composed presence reminiscent of the hakama.
